Functional Assessment
A functional assessment would be carried out at your home, and is the key aspect of our assessment to finding you a personal solution.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Assessing your strengths and difficulties
The best way for us to observe both your strengths and the difficulties you are experiencing is through a functional assessment, this allows us to understand the main issues that need addressing. We watch you do the things you are finding problematic and analyse the way you move, your technique and your environment to identify the best solution for you.
Your personal circumstances will affect the recommendations, for example if you have a condition that is likely to recover such as a broken bone, or immobility due to recent surgery short term equipment, alternative techniques or a referral to a specific rehabilitation service may be recommended. However, should you have a mobility problem that is chronic, degenerative or have reached an age where everyday tasks are becoming too much then compensatory equipment and adaptations would likely be the best solution.
